What do you adopt?
With your adoption you are supporting an Andalusian artisan who elaborates pâtés following recipes from the Sierra de Aracena and with the best ingredients from the Iberian pig.
Located in the heart of the Sierra de Aracena y Picos de Aroche Natural Park, Rogelio and his wife Esther created their artisan Iberian pâté factory in 2008. The idea was born as a response to the waste of other parts of the Iberian pig (livers, bacon, etc.) that at that time was occurring in the pig slaughterhouses in the area, which focused only on the noble parts of the pig.
Unlike the pâtés of big brands and industrial producers made with low quality meat and whose ingredients contain too many additives and preservatives (nitrites, nitrates, sorbates, parabens, etc.), Don Rogelio pâtés are made in an artisan way with quality ingredients from local Iberian pigs and without any additives, preservatives or allergens such as gluten or lactose.
The production process is simple. It consists of chopping the ingredients in the correct proportions following the region’s traditional recipes to obtain what Rogelio calls “raw pâté”. The next step is to package the raw pâté, which is then taken to the steriliser where it is cooked.
Over these 15 years, his artisan products have gained fame and popularity due to their unique flavour and textures thanks to their natural quality ingredients, selected directly from the local pig slaughterhouses, and their gluten-free and additive-free production.
With your adoption you allow Rogelio to obtain a fair price for his Iberian pâtés thanks to the direct sale without intermediaries. Therefore, you support a project that opens up job opportunities in a unique professional sector in the Sierra de Huelva, such as the artisanal production of Iberian pâtés.
What will you receive?
Every four months we will send you a box with a unique selection of 12 artisan pâtés that includes:
2 x Iberian pork pâté: Classic (80g)
Classic pâté. Handmade, with recipes from the Sierra de Aracena and with the best ingredients from the Iberian pig. Gluten and lactose free.
Ingredients: Liver and bacon from Iberian pigs, water, salt, spices, corn starch and onion.
2 x Iberian pork pâté: Ham (80g)
Pâté with 100% Iberian ham from local pigs. Handmade, without additives or preservatives. Gluten and lactose free.
Ingredients: Cured ham from Iberian pigs (10%), liver and bacon from Iberian pigs, water, salt, spices, corn starch and onion.
2 x Iberian pork pâté: Loin of pork (80g)
Pâté of loin of pork from local Iberian pigs. Handmade, without additives or preservatives. Gluten free.
Ingredients: Cured Iberian pork loin (10%), liver and bacon from Iberian pigs, water, salt, spices, corn starch and onion.
2 x Iberian pork pâté: Pedro Ximénez (80g)
Pâté with Pedro Ximénez. The sweet taste of the Pedro Ximénez wine makes this pâté made with the best ingredients from the Iberian pig, spectacular for everyone who tastes it. Gluten and lactose free.
Ingredients: Pedro Ximénez (5%), liver and bacon of Iberian pork, water, salt, spices, corn starch, onion. Contains sulphites from Pedro Ximénez wine.
2 x Iberian pork pâté: White pepper (80g)
Pâté with white pepper. Handmade in the traditional way. Its distinctive flavour and texture make it a great choice for any gathering. Gluten and lactose free.
Ingredients: liver and bacon of Iberian pork, water, salt, spices, white pepper (0.3%) and corn starch.
2 x Iberian pork pâté: Fine Herbs (80g)
Pâté with fine local herbs. Prepared following traditional recipes from the Sierra de Aracena. Ideal for preparing delicious appetizers. Gluten and lactose free.
Ingredients: Fine herbs (0.1%), liver and bacon of Iberian pork, water, salt, spices, soya protein, corn starch, onion.

Personalised recommendations on the proper use and conservation, their history, their environment, day-to-day anecdotes, etc.
